Shinar

On the plain of Shinar, God divided mankind. They were united in purpose & language. They could do anything they put their mind to. They didn’t put their mind to changing their ways, they weren’t committed to loving one another. In fact according to rabbinical sources, they wanted to built their tower so bad they cried when one brick fell off the tower. If a man fell they just kept working harder without remorse.

Thank God He stopped this tyranny of injustice, bringing confusion to their speech. God had a plan to restore a perfect language to the pure in heart. On pentecost 2000 years ago He poured out His Spirit of holiness & fire on 120 Jews who were all in unprecedented unity & prayer. Unprecedented because it’s a unique where two or more Jews are together without a disagreement.  They all spoke in tongues some with the tongues of men some with the tongues of angels.  Unity was restored from that time forward because Jesus changed our hearts & His Holy Spirit is living inside of us. We now speak a heavenly language that our Spirit understands. We may not always have an interpretation but it’s not needed, this language is not intellectually understood it’s a Spiritual language one of deep calling to deep. A heavenly language.
