Trembling rebuke
Leviticus 19:17
Have you ever been put in a place where a brother in Christ is saying something to you & to others that is absolutely against the word of God. Or have you been in a situation where your brother in Christ is blatantly justifying sin in his life. It is most important that you speak up at that very moment even if it’s scary or against the way you usually do things. We cannot allow ourselves to become partakers of that same spirit of deception. We must reprove them in love immediately. I’ve been in this place recently where the Lord lifted the veil of the deception from my eyes for just a moment and I saw immediately what kind of darkness was holding me and those listening. If I had not responded at that moment I would have slid back into that deception and I would have become a partaker of that same spirit of darkness. You see if we do not reprove our brother we we fail to love them completely. It is our commandment to love one another. By refusing reprove them we have opened the door to lies and deception because of this sin. Be willing to act decisively, even if we do it with trembling. Just remember when it’s over you will have grown stronger and the veil over your eyes will be completely removed.
