Trust and obey
1 Samuel 15:3
There are times in our walk with the Lord that He asks us to do something that in our limited understanding seems to be against logic. It may seem to us better to act another way. Maybe we allow ourselves to justify not acting in obedience because it will please more people & we will gain their favor. But God doesn’t ask us to curate His methods to gain the favor & approval of man. Our ways are not His ways. His ways and methods may seem unorthodox at times but if we trust in Him above everything else acting in accordance to what He has required then we will see all that He has planned & purposed to be accomplished in & through us. But take heed to this warning if we instead choose to act out of our own limited knowledge, even if we justify it by giving God greater sacrifice we will not only lose our rightful place of authority but we will grieve the heart of God. Don’t let high mindedness cloud your decision process. Our only response to our Holy God is to Trust & Obey. Let go of your own process of thinking & be obedient to His voice. Crucify your rebellious tendencies. For obedience is better than sacrifice.
